The Territorial Cooperation Unit would like to inform that the fourth call for project proposals under the Interreg Europe Programme is open. This call shall have a budgetary allocation of €74 million ERDF.
PROMETEUS will enable Transport Malta to learn from the experiences of the other partners involved in the project, as well as share its own experiences to continue introducing and integrating the concept of Electromobility into the Maltese Islands.
Malta will be benefitting from €8 Million in EEA and Norwegian Grants under the programming period 2014-2021, aimed towards urban development and poverty reduction. This follows the signing of a programme agreement between Malta’s National Focal Point and the Norwegian Ambassador for Malta in Rome, HE Margit F. Tveiten. ‘CESBA MED Sustainable MED Cities’: Energy efficiency improvement is a key strategy to reduce the environmental impact of public buildings. But usually energy efficiency plans do not fully exploit the potential for synergies that groups of buildings might offer. CESBA MED intends to test 10 different methodologies, tools and indicators developed by previous EU projects and select the most affordable and operational solutions. The UoM will select areas that house a group of public buildings for testing energy efficiency, also with the help of existing data on such buildings. …

In Mediterranean countries, domestic water use accounts for a minor part of water consumption, however, it requires the best quality and its demand is continuously growing. Moreover, urban water is still the main cause of pollution of rivers and groundwater, even when treated before being discharged. The project NAWAMED aims at changing the urban water management practice by mean of innovative, sustainable, and low-cost treatment technologies, applicable in a decentralised pattern, to replace the use of potable water with good quality NCW (non-conventional water) resources.…
