Measure 6.4: Support for investments in creation and development of non-agricultural activities
The Ministry for Gozo was awarded from Measure 4.4 of the Rural Development Programme (2014-2020) to implement the project: ‘Rehabilitation of Gozo's Valleys to Enhance their rain capturing and soil retention capabilities’. This operation will initiate the implementation of sustained environmental monitoring in marine waters with the aim to assess the state of Malta’s marine waters on a continuous basis and address current knowledge gaps. It will also contribute to the implementation of Maritime Spatial Planning and the Integrated Maritime Policy through knowledge improvement.
Malta will be benefitting from €8 Million in EEA and Norwegian Grants under the programming period 2014-2021, aimed towards urban development and poverty reduction. This follows the signing of a programme agreement between Malta’s National Focal Point and the Norwegian Ambassador for Malta in Rome, HE Margit F. Tveiten.
