Official opening of the newly acquired offices in Paola as part of Opportunity Knocks (OK) project – 14 June 2019


An office which offers services to vulnerable young people between the ages of 13 and 18 was opened in Paola. The office, which is operating under the Foundation of Social Services, is called OK, Opportunity Knocks, and will be offering a multi-disciplinary service from youth workers and social workers so that young people can be given a push to reach their aspirations, including subsidies for educational courses which they might have lost because of their vulnerable situations.

Information Session and thematic workshops on EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation

Through workshops on the thematic areas of the call, this information Session will focus on the Concept Note and tips on how to prepare a competitive proposal.

Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2014-2020

The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund is to provide assistance to Malta in its management of migration flows, through the provision of asylum and reception facilities to migrants, the organisation of activities and actions aimed at assisting migrants in their integration into the Maltese community, while also strengthening cooperation with third countries with respect to return management. 



The overall objectives of the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms for the 2014-2021 period are:

  • To contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area, and
  • To strengthen bilateral relations between the Donor States and the Beneficiary States through financial contributions in the priority sectors.
