Innovation Fund Large Scale Projects Call

The Innovation Fund provides support across all Member States to innovative low-carbon technologies and processes in energy intensive sectors that have the potential of mitigating climate change through significant emission reductions. Such funded projects are envisioned to be flagship projects and close-to-market.

Call for Capitalisation Projects funded under the ENI CBC Med Programme 2014-2020

The Territorial Cooperation Unit within the Funds and Programmes Division, MFEA, would like to inform that the call for proposals for capitalisation projects under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 is open until the 28th July 2020. This call has a budgetary allocation of €11M, which may potentially be extended to €15.2M. This call shall focus on the following Priority Objectives:

Launch of the Small Grant Scheme (SGS): Local Development and Poverty Reduction in Urban Communities – 30 July 2019

The Government launched a €1.2 million scheme for the country’s urban localities, aimed at reducing poverty. The scheme was made possible through Norwegian Funds. The plan of the Parliamentary Secretary for Local Councils was to use the funds in order to assist both the elderly persons to continue living in their localities and also those people facing social challenges who live in these localities.

Launch of PDP3 project: Training of Local Council Staff in Principles of Good Governance, Transparency and Accountability – 16 July 2019

As a result of funds from the Norway Grants, the Executive Secretaries of Local Councils have been given training in the principles of good governance, transparency and accountability. Around €200,000 had been allocated solely for this training.

Celebrating 25 years of the European Economic Area (EEA) Grants

The Funds and Programmes  Division, within the Parliamentary Secretariat for EU Funds and Social Dialogue, Ministry for European Affairs and Equality (MEAE) as the National Focal Point for the EEA and Norway Grants in Malta, organised a Multicultural event, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the EEA Grants.

The event was held at Fort St Elmo during Notte Bianca on Saturday 5 October 2019, between 1900 and 2400 hrs.
